the sun has lost this war
with battles raging on the earth now spins
in silence
sound is far away from night’s dark cloaking shade
whisper solitude
breath is all
in silence
i try to calm my fear of waking night’s dark soldiers
the creaking and the twisted bough
i cannot hide from darkness with one large eye
it watches this land
now fill with tears
i see shadow’s silhouettes
in absent light they dance
silently
the earth is hung with darkness
a lightless creature glowing
the victor clear demanding
the Moon is riding high
